The Ozil Goal Trend: The 2016 Finish Behind the AI Videos
Where the viral Ozil goal comes from, why it works as a meme and how Ozil Goal recreates the moment with your photo.
The goal everyone is recreating
The trend goes back to Mesut Özil’s late goal against Ludogorets in November 2016. He lifted the ball over the goalkeeper, let a defender slide past and only then rolled it into an empty net. That unhurried calm is what made the clip stick.
Why it became an AI video trend
The sequence is short, easy to recognise and ends with a clean payoff, which suits vertical video. Putting yourself, a friend or your coworker in the shot turns a famous moment into a personal joke.
How the Ozil Goal version works
Your photo is the input image for Kling 2.6, and a fixed prompt describes a fictional night stadium, the chip, the sliding defender and the empty-net finish. It does not use real match footage and is not a frame-for-frame replica.
